- Cheaper cost of living (lower everyday costs, lower council tax, etc.)
- More options for Rob to get a job
- Better facilities (airport, networking, leisure, etc.)
- Better public transport
- Good (very) local (very) social support group (Lesley, Ed, Liz etc.)
- Cat feeders on demand - no need to use a cattery
- Close to the nice *rolling* countryside
- Chance to liberate cash to pay off debts
- Both Rob and Daniel have wanted to live in a city for a while.
- Places other than pubs to congregate
- Very local colocation facilities
- Co-hosting of local connectivity (only lose connection if the exchange dies)
- Curry very close by
- Excellent [restaurant] within crawling distance (can eat *and* drink!)
- Manchester is *NOT* the second largest breasted town in the country.
- Gas cooking and heating

- Not as pretty (immediate) area
- Hassle of moving
- Lose immediacy of Cambridge friends circle
- Higher crime index
- Higher car insurance as a result
- Less good air quality
- No good pubs in walking distance
- No more Carlton on a Thursday night
- No more working from Colin's
- Higher home contents insurance due to crime rate
- Less pleasurable area for Lizzie and possibly more dangerous
- Higher chance of being a victim of crime
- No more wonderful food from the Thai in Ely
- Pollution
